performers
Thank you to all the performers! The Topanga Children’s Festival’s biggest heroes have generously donated their time and talent for this special event.
Topanga Philharmonic Orchestra
We are excited to announce the return of the Topanga Philharmonic Orchestra, also known as “TPO”. This year the Topanga Philharmonic Orchestra (TPO) will celebrate its 31st year by headlining the day’s performances. The TPO will perform a selection of pieces from 2 to 4 p.m., including Scheherazade by Rimsky-Korsakov, led by Conductor Guido Lamell of the Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra. Guido is joined by musicians of the Los Angeles and Santa Monica Philharmonic Orchestras.
Join us for a family friendly taste of classical music in a classic Topanga location.

Melanie Kareem’s Middle Eastern Dance Troupe
Watch Melanie perform her exotic brand of belly dancing with her troupe of Topanga girls. You will be entranced by the beauty and control of the girls while they explore the power of their bodies. This is a truly unique Topanga experience, not to be missed!

The Polsky Family Band
Forest on the fiddle and Sharon (aka Mom) on guitar, play some knee slappin’, old timey square dance music. Forest just turned 11, and has been playing since he was 6. They’ll likely be joined by Clara, little sis, and the band’s biggest supporter. If we’re lucky, she just might dance – an eclectic blend of clogging and middle eastern belly dance. Or she might just announce the names of the tunes. You don’t want to miss The Polsky Family band, they’re quickly becoming a Topanga tradition.
